"Pairs"~ A Paul Harris Art Exhibition Reception

Join us for the opening night and reception of “Pairs” Art Exhibition and enjoy an evening of art and refreshments April 25 6:00pm-8:00pm. The exhibition features a selection of over 20 paintings, drawings and sculptures. Also included in the exhibition are works by Harris’s close friends and contemporaries, Richard Diebenkorn and local artists Bob and Gennie DeWeese.

This is the first exhibit of Harris’s work since his passing in Bozeman in 2018. Harris’s career spanned over 50 years and his work was featured in galleries including the Berkley Gallery in California and the MoMA in NYC. Harris served as guest lecturer at MSU and has historic family roots in the Gallatin Valley.

Pairs explores the relationships between two distinctly different works of art by a single artist on the same subject and in the same media. The works include colorful still lifes, abstract works and sculptures that evokes both memories and modern curiosities. Distinguished art critic Lawrence Campbell says, “Paul Harris in his sculpture and drawing creates a special ambience of surprise and theater… Suddenly things appear possible.”

Admission is free and open to the public at the White Chapel located at 1528 West Main St.  (behind the Red Barn) in Bozeman. Opening reception is April 25th 6-8 pm and additional show times will be April 26, 6:00pm-8:00pm and April 27-28, 3:00pm-8:00pm.
